Samba is the standard Windows interoperability suite of programs for Linux and Unix.

Samba is Free Software licensed under the GNU General Public License, the Samba project is a member of the Software Freedom Conservancy.

Since 1992, Samba has provided secure, stable and fast file and print services for all clients using the SMB/CIFS protocol, such as all versions of DOS and Windows, OS/2, Linux and many others.

Samba is an important component to seamlessly integrate Linux/Unix Servers and Desktops into Active Directory environments using the winbind daemon.

Samba 3.3.10 Available for Download

This is the latest stable release of the Samba 3.3 series

The uncompressed tarballs and patch files have been signed using GnuPG (ID 6568B7EA). The source code can be downloaded now. A patch against Samba 3.3.9 is also available. See the release notes for more info.

Samba 3.5.0rc1 Available for Download

Samba 3.5.0rc1 is now available for download. This the first release candidate of the next upgrade production release version of Samba. It is intended for testing purposes only. Please test and report any bugs that you find. Please read the changes in the Release Notes for details on new features and difference in behavior from previous releases.

The Samba 3.5.0rc1 source code can be downloaded now. The GnuPG signature is for the for the uncompressed tarball. If you prefer, the patch file against Samba 3.3.0pre2 (GnuPG signature) is also available for download. Please read these instructions on how to verify the gpg signature. Precompiled packages will be made available on a volunteer basis and can be found in the Binary_Packages download area.
