25 <p>This is a security release to address CVE-2008-1105. The
26 <a href="/samba/security/CVE-2008-1105.html">original advisory</a>
27 is available online. A <a href="/samba/ftp/patches/security/samba-3.0.29-CVE-2008-1105.patch">patch
28 for Samba 3.0.29</a> is available. This security advisory is applicable to all Samba 3.0.x
29 releases to date. Past security advisories are available on our
30 <a href="/samba/security/">security page</a>.</p>
32 <p>The uncompressed tarballs and patch files have been signed
33 using GnuPG (ID 6568B7EA). The source code can be
34 <a href="/samba/ftp/stable/samba-3.0.30.tar.gz">downloaded

40 <p class="headline">Samba 3.2.0rc1 Available for Download</p>
42 <p>This is the first release candidate of Samba 3.2.0. This is *not*
43 intended for production environments and is designed for testing
44 purposes only. Please report any defects via the Samba bug reporting
45 system at <a href="https://bugzilla.samba.org/">https://bugzilla.samba.org/</a>.</p>
47 <p>Please be aware that Samba is now distributed under version 3
48 of the new GNU General Public License. You may refer to the COPYING
49 file that accompanies the release source for further licensing details.</p>
51 <p>The uncompressed tarballs and patch files have been signed
52 using GnuPG (ID 6568B7EA). The source code can be

61 <p class="headline">Samba 4.0.0alpha3 Available for Download</p>
63 <p>Samba 4 is the ambitious next version of the Samba suite that is being
64 developed in parallel to the stable 3.0 series. The main emphasis in
65 this branch is support for the Active Directory logon protocols used
66 by Windows 2000 and above.</p>
68 <p>Samba 4 is currently <b>not</b> yet in a state where it is usable in
69 production environments. Note the WARNINGS below, and the STATUS file,
70 which aims to document what should and should not work.</p>
72 <p>Samba4 alpha3 follows on from our second alpha release (made in
73 December), the first alpha release (made in September), and the
74 Technology Preview series we have offered for some time now.</p>
76 <p>The uncompressed tarball and patch files have been signed
77 using Andrew Bartlett's GnuPG key (ID 28B436BB). The source code can be
