23 <p class="headline">Samba 3.2.0 Available for Download</p>
25 <p>This is the first stable release of Samba 3.2.0.</p>
27 <p>Please be aware that Samba is now distributed under version 3
28 of the new GNU General Public License. You may refer to the COPYING
29 file that accompanies the release source for further licensing details.</p>
31 <p>The uncompressed tarballs and patch files have been signed
32 using GnuPG (ID 6568B7EA). The source code can be

38 <p class="headline">Samba 4.0.0alpha4 Available for Download</p>
40 <p>Samba 4 is the ambitious next version of the Samba suite that is being
41 developed in parallel to the stable 3.0 series. The main emphasis in
42 this branch is support for the Active Directory logon protocols used
43 by Windows 2000 and above.</p>
45 <p>Samba 4 is currently <b>not</b> yet in a state where it is usable in
46 production environments. Note the WARNINGS below, and the STATUS file,
47 which aims to document what should and should not work.</p>
49 <p>Samba4 alpha4 follows on from our second alpha release (made in
50 December), the first alpha release (made in September), and the
51 Technology Preview series we have offered for some time now.</p>
53 <p>The uncompressed tarball and patch files have been signed
54 using Andrew Bartlett's GnuPG key (ID 28B436BB). The source code can be
55 <a href="/samba/ftp/samba4/samba-4.0.0alpha4.tar.gz">downloaded

61 <p>This is a security release to address CVE-2008-1105. The

63 is available online. A <a href="/samba/ftp/patches/security/samba-3.0.29-CVE-2008-1105.patch">patch
64 for Samba 3.0.29</a> is available. This security advisory is applicable to all Samba 3.0.x
