   9 With this program, normal users can unmount smb-filesystems, provided
  10 that it is suid root.

  13 has been written to give normal linux-users more control over their
  14 resources. It is safe to install this program suid root, because only
  15 the user who has mounted a filesystem is allowed to unmount it again.

  17 For root it is not necessary to use smbumount. The normal umount
  18 program works perfectly well, but it would certainly be problematic to
  19 make umount setuid root.
