  10 The Samba software suite is a collection of programs that implements
  11 the Server Message Block(commenly abbreviated as SMB) protocol for
  12 UNIX systems. This protocol is sometimes also referred to as the
  13 Common Internet File System (CIFS), LanManager or NetBIOS protocol.
